The Manassas Battlefield Trust was established in 2013 to assist the  Manassas National Battlefield Park in its efforts to preserve, protect, and promote the First and Second Battlefields of Manassas.  The Manassas Battlefield Trust (the Trust) provides support to the park through community engagement, educational programs, service projects, and targeted financial support.  This support will be accomplished through memberships, partnerships and sustained assistance from individuals, foundations and corporations.

The Trust will be working to support the park in three main areas:

Preservation and Conservation, Exploration and Discovery, and Community Engagement.  The Trust will work with the park to identify projects for philanthropic support.  Below are examples of these projects:

Stone House – replacing trees that are compromising the foundation (completed in January, 2015) Stone House rehabilitation Museum Conservation Stone Bridge rehabilitation.

Exploration and Discovery
Traveling trunks for schools (in development) School groups visits to the park with supporting transportation Strengthen and expand school curriculums Strengthen and enhance the Junior Ranger Program Development of new interpretive waysides throughout the park New exhibits for the Stone House

Community Engagement
Support for park service days Support for the park trail steward program Strengthen and expand the park volunteer program Annual friends’ day Lantern event to honor the fallen.
